    Angry BitTorrent Copyright Infringment Notice

    Hi All,

    Dear Valued Customer,
We have received correspondence on behalf of the owner of copyright material
that states that an infringing copy of their copyright material was made
available for distribution through an IP address that was allocated to you at
the time of the alleged conduct.
We are not stating that you have engaged in an infringement of copyright or
other laws. We respect your privacy and we have not released your personal
    details to any third party.
However, we would like to take the opportunity to remind you that making an
unauthorised copy of copyright material available for access by others:
Copyright Holder : Paramount Pictures Corporation
    Recent Infringement Timestamp : 19 Apr 2008 1457 GMT
    Infringed Work : Cloverfield
Infringing FileName : Cloverfield 2008 DvDScr Eng FXX avi
    Infringing FileSize : 788052756

This is the second one this month this time I did not have the move It was on the list is there any way I can hide my IP address or change it, I think they just site back and wait for me to come online so they can see what I am doing.

    Cheers Jim.

Forget about trying to hide your IP address as an ISP client I really doubt that will work in the case of Bit Torrent anyway.

Go out and get yourself a News subscription 10 GB download per month US for 43.35 for one year 25 GB download per month for US 79.95 for one year.

You get a free copy of News Rover client which has 12 months search inclued or use

Faster and you can sleep at night.

If you want to continue using torrents then try using peer guardian. This application blocks connections to known IP addresses used by those who are not interested in P2P sharing. Of course it only blocks IPs that are in it's list so not a great defence.

I installed PeerGuardian 2 a couple of days ago but I think I might stay away from BitTorrent
For a bit, the movies never work any way

A friend got one of these from TPG, the content was from a Paramount lawyer regarding "There will be blood".
She was in a panic, sell the house, move to Cuba sort of thing.
Chances are she hit a honeypot setup, a deliberate seed setup to track who is after what.
I told her to increase security on her Wireless setup, she had obviously been hacked, as she didn't even know what bittorrent was...right ?

Just lay off the bittorrents...and don't worry about it.
    Comfortably numb...
And NO, Google is NOT my friend...

I found ProtoWall to be far better than PeerGuardian, as its less of a load on your system. I understand PeerGuardian has been refined somewhat, but I believe its still resource hungry. There is a bit of stuffing around with ProtoWall, but you MUST read the instructions and follow carefully for a successful install. I have been using ProtoWall for years without any problems. The Blocklist Manager is an additional program that downloads bad IP addresses for all sorts of applications.

    Quoted from the Bluetack site...
Protowall - Our light weight NDIS IP filter. PW is designed to run independently alongside a personal firewall for the sole purpose of blocking large amounts of IP addresses where almost all other firewalls cannot.

I have no idea why people bother with Bit Torrent.

much I would find the cash to join
Anways that's why I use Bit Torrent.

Use a bit of everything. I find bit torrent is better for older shows. Say "Buck Rogers in the 25 century". Try finding that in a new group. But if you do can let me know. I have not seen it since I was a kid.

    Cheers

    Less than $10 a month ??

You could move to Internode , they offer the service for nothing. It is linked to Super News in the USA.
