    Default DM800 HD front panel

    G'day all,

I have a DM800HD PVR clone which went dead (power problem) I sent it for repair and now it's back to life. It boots up and works fine however the front LCD panel no longer works. Is there a way I can test if the problem is from the main board or the display itself is faulty? like probably test the voltage on the ribbon cable pins? if so can someone please gives me the voltage output I should expect on each pin.

    Thank you

I would check the cable connections. It might be that u may simply have some cables plugged in incorrectly or half plugged in etc

I have seen this problem before.

    hi theriddler,

yes the red light and remote still work only the display is off. any idea? I tested the voltages they are all fine except pin 8 the 6.9V and pin 1 the 2.9V they give 0 volt. I also tested the LedManager plugin and I was able to control the red LED functions.

    thanks

you mean pins 1 and 8 on the ribbon header? You tested for volage at both the main board and LCD sub board ends?
What was the original repare job? its starting to sound more like a needle in a haystack without schematics of the mainboard to follow the cuircut back.
If you paid to have it repaired I strongly recomand you contact the person who repair it originaly
