Some of the old cheaper Gamma cards and PL1 cards use to get a nasty brown spot from the reader running at 5 volts
I have tried researching as to why people mod there hummie's to 3.3v can someone shead some light on this matter is it a heat problem or somthing else all together.

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

And to elaborate further, if they were run at a lower voltage they wouldn't get so hot and burn the card.

I had a feeling that maybe the case. so gamma's worked with Humax. yet ACS4.1's dont seem to work properly. one time I tried and it worked besides showtime and a few others but tried a spongebob a week ago and it cam up invalid card. this was a un modified 5410z tho

I had one work early in the days of switch over. just showtime and a couple of others didn't work. that was in a Humax 5400z it accepted the card and worked to some degree. a week ago I tried a spongebob in a 5410z as I set my uncle up with aurora and I tried it and wouldn't even accept the card said invalid card yet a old freeX delta will be accepted

well that proves they are compatible with Irdeto 2 encryption so they must have changed something else.
