    Default dm7000 REMOTE

    Hi guy's,

i had issues with the remote some buttons not registering, pulled the remote apart cleaned with isopropyl worked for about a week.

then last night had a brain wave, clued alfoil, put all together dream button stayed on for sometime remote functioned like new then nothing.

some of the alfoil moved to other tracks now nothing. i sense i wiped the code.

on a positive note all button do infact light up as it should lol.

    question.....

do i need to jtag or can enter a command etc ?????

    cheers oyama

I would buy a new one. They're relatively cheap now on Ebay. You may hove done some damage with the foil short circuiting tracks in the remote.

Dick Smith has a conductive paint that you can use to repair buttons. First clean them & the tracks with isopropyl alcohol, dab a spot of paint on each button & let it dry, put the whole lot back together & presto a fully working remote.
