Cant get this to work on my Win 7 notebook. I downloaded VLC, but when I click on WebX it still says to download plugin? I have already installed VLC, but don't know what else to do?

Did you Try downloading the plugin ?
Bit of info here if you haven't seen it, not relating to win 7 but it might lead you in the right direction.
Mick
There was no plugin found. I downloaded VLC.
When you install VLC you have to tick "activeX plugin".
Also, make sure you have a valid copy of VLC, lot of download links to copies that have been modified, malware and such.
latest versions are a bitch, go to an earlier version of VLC and it works, I use 0.8.6c for my webXTV
Latest version 1.1.10 works fine for me on Windows 7.
ok, just installed from the link above, which is 1.1.10. Made sure active X was ticked. But when i click on WebX TV, i still the "click here to download" icon in the middle of the screen, and "Install missing plugin" on the bar at the top? Do I need to enable anything in firefox?
did you tick the firefox extension in the VLC install?
If you're using Firefox, you need to tick "mozilla plugin".
Thanks for your help guys. It was the mozilla plugin that was ticked.
