The Strong LNB is just a standard domestic type, but it demonstrates the importance of installers knowing what they are doing.
The LNB is the antenna, with the dish only being a reflector.
Both are important, but it won't matter how big your dish is if the LNB isn't functioning well.
Testing with a new LNB is one of the first steps any installer should make if there are reception difficulties.
The filtered LNB's I mentioned are primarily for commercial use, due to their high specs and cost.
They perform much better than typical domestic type LNB's and they'd want to for the $.
Hopefully you didn't spend money buying a bigger dish, ben10.
Sometimes, bigger dishes are needed, but not always.
Accurate dish and LNB alignment are the key.
Pleased you got it sorted.
Here we go again!
HTV is very low signal and VTV had disappeared. Did a blind scan and got back VTV on 3413v 10800. So again they changed frequency of VTV and then reduced HTV signal.
So now:
3413v VTV = 81% (threshold is 60%)
3433v HTV = 67% (too low for reliable signal as threshold is 67%)
I wonder why they keep doing this?

They are all TP1 one carrier obviously is using more power than the other. Perhaps 2 seperate uplinks. If one is juiced up it of course will effect the other transmission.

Anybody else noticed loss of signal?
Yes, mine also watchable again right now with HTV 3433v at 74% and VTV 3413v at 81%. It seems that VTV 3572v has either gone or is too low to watch now. Maybe they realised that some people were having problems with that frequency thats why they brought back 3413v.
Even though HTV 3433v is ok again now it still seems to be going down below 70% in the evening. If only they would decrease VTV 3413v a few % so they could increase HTV 3433v a few%.
Anyway at least it is watchable again.....for now! haha
Hi everyone,
I lost vinasat1 for the last few days.
Are you still getting signal?
HTV on 3433v is much lower signal recently but VTV on 3413v is very good signal.
VTV 3413/v/10800 = 82% (threshold 60%)
HTV 3433/v/13600 = 67-73% (threshold 67%) It seems to be lower signal in the evening. Sometimes between 5-6pm (Perth time) i lose signal
Whereabouts are you?
Hi all,
Does anyone picking up channel VOV (Voice of Vietnam) ok ?
Hi
Anybody else notice that the new VTV transponder (3594v) is very weak signal?
VTV 3413v has now been turned off (again)
I wonder why they keep changing the frequencies in Vietnam
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can watch VTV1,2,3 HD on Vinasat 1 C band. I can watch all VTV1,2,3,4,6 and all HTVC channels.
Regards
L Truong
Anybody else having "No Signal" issues with 3433v HTVC transponder?
In my experience, putting a dish on a roof for Vinasat can only increase the risk of Wimax interference. The ground is always the best option if possible.
Sometimes I am able to get this signal (3545v) but only for short periods.
I have emailed HTV (cskh@htv.com.vn) and Vinasat about this but they say there is no problem and suggest we should use a dish 3.6m or above (crazy idea)
I wish they would go back to 3433v which was a much stronger transponder. Maybe email pressure on them!!
