    Default Dreambox Firmware User Guides?

Just wondering if any of the firmware/image teams ever release a User Guide for thier images?

Like a proper .pdf with illustrations showing you how all their functions work.

    Watching TV
    Listening to Radio
    Playing MP3
    Streaming Internet Radio
    Time Shifting
    Recording
    Playing DVD files

    etc etc etc

I would be more interested in Pli or Gemini User Guides.
But has any of these teams ever released such a thing?

    Thanks.

(Still a work in progress, but I am getting there slowly)

Mmmmm ok, first thing I clicked on was the Remote Control, and it's only for a DM500. Work In Progress I guess.

Thanks jonc. Seems you are onto a larger version of the old Kolana user guide

It would be nice if the firmware writers had an on going user guide though.
Like Altech do for the Mediagate, after a couple of firmware updates, they release an updated user guide which has the new features included.

I guess Dreambox being so open source, it would be hard to cover everything.
But considering the box is so useful, it is a shame they don't provide a Users Guide.

Sure, all of use around here can use a Dreambox, but try leaving one with a customer or client... They have no idea, even I struggled with the unfamiliar remote control buttons and menus at first.

It surely must help promote any ones image if it a came with a User Guide.

I leave the odd DM7020 at installations with mainly DVD’s and MP3’s loaded on them, the owners can use whatever Sat Card they wish… that’s nothing to do with me.

Just some basic steps on how to use those features I mentioned above would be nice.

I can always just write my own brief User Guide, which is what I will have to do…. But it would be nice if image builder had one too

DMM / Enigma also have their own wiki, and this one is for the PLi images, but as I said a work in progress which has just started in earnest yesterday

    So your timing is incredible.

Also try the help & info buttons (on the remote) in whatever screen your on & it will tell you what buttons can be used & what they do

Good Point Fernbay. Have done thast myself.

I'm more looking for a solution for a newbie at using a Dreambox that is 5 scotchs down, and can't get the thing to work.... He or She needs a Simple User Guide

    or less scotch..........
