    Default 2 way diseqc issue with dreamboxes ?

    Hi

    I have a diseqc switch - 2 way. I have the correct settings under user defined sat settings in the dreambox.

    Satellite 1 (Optus c1) - LNB0 - A/A
    Satellite 2 (Optus d2) - LNB1 - A/B

    I manage to tune in the channels (with issues)... but switching is also an issue...basically switching to/from any channels to the C1 is fine...However when tuning into Optus D2 the vertical channels will not load , unless a Optus Horizontal has been browsed to first...this is the same issue in satfind...it wont lock on the frequencies for d2 vertical unless i select a horizontal frequency first (which doesnt have signal)... weird and confused ? so am i...

    but this is the second switch ive noticed it with... my 4 way switch works fine... just wondering is this a known issue , is there another solution ??

    This switch can also act as a 22khz switch , but has the same issue

    C1 - 22 On
    D2 - Off..

    Ideas ?...

    You say your 4 way is fine? Looks like it's possibly the 2 way diseqc switch you are using then. I use a 4 way also with no issues with a combination of std and uni lnb's and no issue with 22khs switching also.

    might be a 2 way faulty switch, try different 2 way to test.

    while we are on this topic; if I have a universal

    Universal Twin
    LNC UNI T2
    9.75 Ghz
    10.6 Ghz

    does that mean I have to use 22khz switch ON to get 9.75 and OFF to get 10.6 or have I missed the point completely??

    and are these the correct settings for a universal LNB on a dream

    LOF/L = 09750
    LOF/H = 10600
    Threshold = 10700

    reason I ask is that when i was trying my 4 way diseq I could not get stable switches between lnb's...

    thanks

    You turn 22khz switching to Hi/Lo for universal.

    so does 22khz on give you low or high?

    i.e

    09750 = 22khz off
    10600 = 22hkz on

    or is it

    09750 = 22hkz on
    10600 = 22khz off

    or am i way off

    and the 22hkz signal just does a frequency switch?

    thank-you

    when the 22khz signal is on it selects the 10600. When the 22khz signal is off the 9750 is selected. Like an on off switch. It's like two lnb's in one.

    thanks for the reply... dont really feel like trying another 2 way switch as this is the second one , different brand... weird... 4 way is fine...will try some other testing...

    Has anyone actually tried just a 22Kh switch (Single switch) on a dm500 or 7000s ?

    Cheers
