    Post Best softcam for Aurora?

Ok, I have a 500s, which I have a legit I2 card. None of this softcam stuff.

What softcam is best for this. Currently running CCam 2.0. Just want to make sure that I am running one that will receive updates properly.

Am running Pli if that makes any difference.

Anyone got any that they know works

so, am I correct that with a legit card, when I don't want to do card sharing, it is not necessary to use a softcam for an internal slot to get Aurora?

You need a cam to descramble the signal. The only time you would never need a 'cam' is when viewing FTA (unscrambled) - eg aljazeera, but even then i still have to use a cam on my dream.

    Cheers, RHCP.

Edit: Obviously you don't need a softcam if you have a physical cam....but i don't believe this is an option with the 500s.

would you have a sample config for 2.25c? I could get external working and not the internal. The swtiches I was using should of enabled me to use either.

ok, so my dish is all up and running. I have put the card in, have it using CCam 2.8.0, have it set on 7 Central.

The I comes up green, but still no picture, do I need to wait for it to update? If so, how long is reasonable to wait before asking them to rehit my card?

The card hasn't been used since about March/April.

In my var/keys folder I have a file called irdeto and SoftCam.key, both of which are 0KB

ok, do I need to adjust any config files? Or just start the softcam up and wait?

I assume Irdeto is like ND$ and one should just be able to pop the card in and [eventually] it does its business?

:edit: after running 2.0.0 when I go to a channel like 7 Central, the 'I' will only come up in yellow instead of green, is this a problem?

7 Central, now known as Southern Cross Central of course

As a point of interest, SBS SE now seems to work.

Will leave it overnight and see if it livens up anything.
