    Default Toshiba 62JM9UA rear projection

Friend of mine has asked me about replacement lamps for his TV and wanted to know why the lamps weren't lasting very long.

Are there any known issues with lamp life on these sets?

nahh, more to do with psu and ballast, we found if your not getting much life from the globe there has to be something wrong in the way they're being powered up and shut down.

check both supply to ballast and ballast itself mate

Ok, I've never seen one of these TVs before - and had nothing to do with this type of setup - can you send me some detailed info on where and how?
