NESS M1G Remote Access
I am having difficulties with port forwarding to my security system as it sits on a buildings network and the buildings management refuse to open any ports. Is their another way to gain access to it. In America ELK have launched M1 Cloud which bypasses all that configuration and provides a secure connection directly between them and the panel allowing you to login to their website and remotely manage it.
I was speaking to NESS who have justed recieved the BETA but they said it wont be launched for 12 months. Is their any alternatives??

If only it was that simple, If I take it off the network it will not interfer with the Automation System as well as the CBUS. And If I separate them I will not be able to get intercom.
Can you connect multiple XEP's to the M1? (I doubt it)

"as well as the CBUS" ? This is a seperate port (J5) on the M1 Gold, If your M1 is acting as an interpreter for BMS (ASSCi trough the network) for CBUS then, yes you cannot disconnect the network. (but you can make it transparent, see below.

Do you mean "INTERNET" not intercom ?
You have two options : use a phone line for dialling into the M1 Gold
or
Put an ADSL router in of your own and set up the ports fowarding as required, Remember there are two more global options for ports Secure and Non secure, Use the nonsecure internally seeeing BMS have locked it down.
No. I mean intercom and it interfaces with a Switch Automation system ( a living nightmare).

If so Ness has an interface called the Genie, IP based control for the MI, you may be able to write some batch commands via Genie (3000 odd biult in)
