    Default dreambox password (recover/crack it??)

hey guys i am indeed interested in the dreambox and went over to a family friends house and noticed he has the dream when i tried to ftp to it i tried the default username (l:root|p:dreambox) and didn't work. i asked my friend and said he didn't know the password and that the guy who came and installed it would probably know. is there a way to get in it or change the password without flashing it? like say from the setup/blue panel menu which thank god isn't passworded? btw its a dreambox 500 original not a clone.

I have a similiar question this time on a PLI image where it seems I may have accidently placed a password on the setup menu - so I can not get in from the remote and setup menu etc.

FTP to the DM500 is OK with root dreambox.

Any way to reset the setup password?
