i assume you mean connect to a computer.
the usb ports on these 2din units are only for imputing
    to the gps unit.

I connected my 5" Chinese gps to my laptop yesterday and win7 recognized it as a windows mobile device and downloaded a 12 meg file from Microsoft.

Hi unit is mobile 7" at first could get it to activesync now it will not it says cannot verify activesync on device a program such as a firewall may be blocking.
ok cannot find anything on the unit to stop it ,i was trying to install microsoft network compact onto the unit so i could start using it for progs in the wince mode,
all loading now has to be done via sd card to the flash drive but without the network it will not save the programs.

Default My laptop stopped recognizing the Chinese GPS 84H-3 (7" GPS)

My laptop was initially recognizing the Chinese GPS 84H-3 (7" GPS), as a mass storage device, and I could view its files. But after I installed Naviextras Toolbox application of the laptop, the GPS is not getting recognized at all. I get the message "USB device not recognized". This persists even after uninstalling Naviextras. Can somebody help me with this?

Does the computer recognise other USB devices?

Have you rebooted the computer since uninstalling Naviextras?

Have you reinstalled the GPS drivers?

Try using Total Commander to see the unit.

You know it: device's USB-client mode must be "Serial_Class" in order to try to establish an ActiveSync connection with desktop PC, otherwise all further efforts is time wasted ...
