One section of this book is on Earth Station Components.

Does anyone know exactly what is covered in Earth Station Components ?

Is it just the dish and receiver unit at the consumer end or does it
cover how to setup a satellite teleport?

Read the book... then you'll know exactly what his definition of an earth station is. (there can be a few descriptions).

An earth station can be receive only, uplink only, downlink only, up/down. tracking, control, etc.
