After a firmware update it's best to do a factory reset. Back up your data first.
I've finally jumped ship from IOS and decided to play with Android for the first time. So far I'm regretting it.
Today I updated the firmware on my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 to Kit Kat 4.4.2. Now it keeps crashing every time I go to use the Facebook app.
The tablet abruptly jumps out of the app, the screen goes black for second then goes to the home screen for another second, then goes straight to the lock screen. Somewhere in between I get the crash message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped."
I bought the unit about 5 weeks ago brand new during a model runout sale so it's still reasonably new. The new firmware seems to be very buggy. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, is there a fix ?
I've trawled Google for an answer but can't seem to find a straight answer.

The other way around
Backup, factory reset, wipe all data.
After that there is no problem with an update.
Good side effect is that you get a lot more free spce as well because all the all clutter is gone.

Tried the factory reset. Facebook still keeps shutting down.
Tried a second reset. The update has rendered the tablet totally useless now. Nothing opens anymore including Google. Apps just remain in a loop thinking about nothing. Anyone want to buy a cheap lemon ?

Try downloading firmware onto a USB stick and doing a manual install.

The key, as mentioned above is not just a factory reset but also to use the recovery to wipe the partitions on the device.
It is the leftovers that cause the troubles not the update itself

I have the same Tablet and use Dolphin Browser. When I did the latest android update the browser slowed down dramatically and Dolphin Jetpack become incompatible with my tablet. I deleted the browser including anything the tablet wanted to keep about dolphin like logs etc and then reinstalled it along with the dolphin add on " Browse Faster" I think it is called and now it is back to working correctly and fast. I use it as my default browser running facebook and twitter and everything else including flash player and it works great. Just an idea for you to consider. Hope you get it sorted out.

Does the screen size matter with these O/S changes as they often say its intended for the 7 or 10 inch versions.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
