Exclamation Flashing a PS3 With new Firmware?

My old XBOX 1 had something on it called Xecuter which was some kind of firmware that allowed you to backup games and play them off the Xbox hard drive, is this possible to do with the PS3? i have installed a 320GB HDD into my PS3 and i dont have anything to put on it lol.

Can anyone help me with this?? I understand the risks involved etc, and i also know that xecuter may not work on PS3 and may require some console modding.

Thanks

ok simply asnwer to the question id pretty much you can do jack shit with the ps3 on the modding front wether it be modchip or firmware
still you can run a different os , and run all your DL'ed games (from sony online) on that drive

aren't there a couple of homebrew games floating around for the ps3? I'm considering buying one for pong if that's the case.

Games are region free, Blueray movies are not...dont think there is anything to overcome this

That is a shame, I was going to buy a ps3, but if they can’t be modded I’ll go with the xbox
