I have recently gone onto wireless Broadband (Telstra) from the Satellite Internet and my Son now has a PS3 and I reading up on how to, what to do etc to perhaps let the PS3 go online.
I know the PS3 has both WiFi capabilities and LAN connections so that's not a problem as such as I have a WiFi router in use.
I only have a fixed 8 GB data allowance per month or its 'throttled back' if that's exceeded so I was wondering if the PS3 can use any of the 'Free' allowance that is in the BigPond section.
I am also curious about the PS site with its 'Free' to play stuff, Free to play but you pay the Internet provider to use it?
Many advertise 'Free to Download' but to use it you must pay.
Like the PPV movies/Music/Games etc, I don't mind buying a voucher to see them but other than those in Bigpond, its the Data use that I want to find out about.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say, I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Theres some free stuff online, and PS3 updates, and of course multiplayer gaming. You dont pay sony for it, but of course any data used counts towards your monthly totals in the same way any other data would. Unless he plans on downloading very regularly (or fullsize games), the PS3's difference on your use should only be minor
I got 99 problems and a crimp aint one...
