Default Most Efficient Way to Make Picture Slideshow

I have 100 animal pictures I have photocopied form magazines.

Colour A4.

What is the best way to transfer these images onto electronic media so I can insert a DVD full of these images onto my Plasma?

I can scan these photocopies using a photocopier/scanner.

I can scan them all in at once but the size of the single file would be fairly humungus.

Should I can them in one by one?

Help me achieve my goal - please?

Scanning is the only way,i would try one of the print/copy companies as they may be able to batch scan them and them save them onto DVD.

if i scan them in at once, will a slideshow sw recognise each page as a separate entitity (picture) - even though all 100 images are in the one file?

Should I scan separately or all at once?

You should be able to use the individual scans in Microsoft Powerpoint (part of Microsoft Office).
That will allow you a single PPS file which is fine to view on a PC

For a dvd, if you just dump all the files (all resized to the same dimensions would be best) on to a blank DVD with Nero or similar, most DVD's will recognise it as a picture dvd & automatically slideshow them for you anyway

If you have them scanned as individual jpegs you can use a variety of software to make a slideshow, i had over 600 images that my parents took on a trip to China and i used MS Photostory to create a slideshow with music and a few avi files in between.
