Paypal accepts payment from other paypal account balances , credit cards and from bank accounts. So basically , it accepts all forms of payment which should cover every member on the site ( unless the member doesnt own a bank account which is very unlikely in this day and age ).

If you pay from your bank account , it pays via an " eCheque " which means the payment is made , but your account status doesnt automatically update until the money clears in to Austech's account ( usually 3-5 days ).

It integrates in to Vbulletin well and removes the need for manual work as all processes are totally automated. If you select the " auto renew " option , your Premium Membership is automatically updated each year , unless you cancel the subscription via your paypal login ( which is created when you pay ). Alternatively , you can subscribe without the auto renewal , there are 2 options when you select " Upgrade Account " on the toolbar which are clearly marked and explained to avoid confusion.

Hope this helps.

Another dumb question.

Since my initial (Paypal) membership was (manually) re-instated after the crash, is it 'auto renewing' or 'non-renewing'.

My 'paid membership' shows an expiry date.

If it is 'non renewing' can I simply pay another annual membership anytime, before expiry and make it 'auto renewing'?

Well one would hope so, 5 years worth.
At worst 1-2 years.

Non renewing. I added the renewing feature as a requested seperate option which is marked by an asterix when signing up via upgrade account. ( there are 2 options on upgrade account )

If your Premium membership was manually readded , it is non renewing as it was at sign up.

I was a premium Member and don't really care about the $ thing. I would just like to pay again but I know nothing of paypal etc and I read sanitys post and it was too deep for me so I will have to remain a junior member.
regards flicker.

Yes , it will add that extra time period to your current end date. If you do " top up " ( or anyone else ) would they mind posting back here confirming that your end date is correct ( ie , it adds 12 months ) ? Like everything else that I have fixed , I dont know if it is all working 100% unless I get some feedback.
Though I am sure most people would contact support if they paid it and nothing happened

Flicker , if you previously paid via paypal you need to contact admin @ austech.info. It sounds like you havent which means that you must have paid a while ago in to my bank account. If that is the case , send me a PM with a rough date and I can search through my invoices on internet banking and find the date of payment and pass it on to Paul so he can readd you manually. I am sure he would like to see you as a " site supporter " if you are entitled to be one.

The only thing is if it was paid in to my bank account I wouldnt think there would be much time left on it though.

Sorry if my post sounded a bit " deep " , but I can only try and explain it as it is. Here's another go below with some bold and italics for the main bits .

All that is required now is to click on Upgrade Account on the bottom toolbar of any Austech page and follow the prompts.

If you have a credit card or an Australian bank account you can easily upgrade your account. It is all totally automated so if you pay with a credit card your account status will change instantly. If you pay via your bank account , your account status will automatically change to Premium Member as soon as the funds arrive in Austech's Paypal account which is usually 5-6 days.

Hope that helps and if you have any problems with it just ask. You should be able to get through it I reckon
