Hi

BF450 TCP/IP Converter or BF430 TCP/IP Converter is better for Humax 5400, easier to install, setup etc.

No, because that has SFA to do with this program.
There is no solution for your problem.

according to what i,ve read there is a cardshare program that will share the v5 cards
it works by caching commands in the program and only going back to the card if its a new command
its relatively new but works
how i dont know but there are articles about it on some sites at the moment

off subject i know but here is some of the article that was written two weeks ago

Card sharing has caused major concern to the conditional access subscription card manufacturers, and their respective pay-tv companies, since virtually every encryption system can be shared, allowing unauthorised access. Unlike the hacking of smart cards, card sharing is relatively new, thanks to the recent increase in home internet speeds. Conditional access providers therefore have few counter measures to combat its use. One such method, used by several providers, is to greatly increase the frequency of changing the control word, used to decode the channel. With changing occurring as frequently as once every 5 seconds, this puts extra stress onto the subscription cards processor, meaning that clients are frustrated by short, but frequent, missed viewing, making viewing possible, but with extreme inconvenience. In response to this, card sharing servers have appeared that caches control words in order to prevent overloading of the smartcards processor if the same code word is requested more than once.

The future of card sharing is unknown, because it is equally unclear how widespread its use is. Many conditional access providers may see it unworthy to produce new cards to send to all subscribers, as their manufacturing costs are too high. Most probably also realize that and the additional "security" will eventually be circumvented anyway. The latest Irdeto cards for example, have been produced in a way by which card sharing seemed not possible, but now they can be shared again.

When u think about this multi emm error that V5.+ cards produce, the V5 cards must be switchable by the providers, or they wouldnt work in the mystar when recording one channel and channel surfing. Might be a thing to look for in logs, maybe back to when cs stopped working for a lot of 5.+ cards, maybe the command can be reversed

From thing things I have seen and heard the v5.x cards are a bit smarter and DO have anti CS.
Lets have a quick review of what we do know.
1. To get pics, you need the current CWs
2. To get the CWs you need to decode the ECM for that channel.
So, if you have 2 stbs and 2 different channels then the ECM/CW pair can and will be different, so no cache in the world can help.
This means that both ECM's need to be sent to the card in order to share.

If you send the ECM for Channel A, then B, then A, then B then the V5.x cards shut down.

My guess is that the card looks at the CHID (or something) and says if it changes back and forth between 2 or more CHIDs over a short period of time... assume a share and shutdown.

It could even be a bit simpler and count the number of differnet CHIDs in 10 seconds and shut down if greater then X.

If you change the CHID, the ECM sig will be wrong and no CW.

I'm thinking that when then next card roll happens from the providers CS will be dead..... So I guess the next big thing will be sub sharing.

Its got nothing to do with CHID, many channels on a card use the same CHID. V5+ cards simply track how many ecm requests are received and if it goes over a certain amount in a certain time frame then the card shuts down for a while. Ive found the maximum channels you can share is 2 different channels after that it will shut down

YES !!!

we have done tests that prove if you do about 15-20 channel changes on a Selectv card in a Humax...the card shuts down.

An absolute pain in the arse.
