explanation as posted by Z

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greywolf Midnight 071 b-IR2 CS software.
This is the latest software that I found on the footpath while waiting at the bus stop this morning.

It is written by an author who seems to always get it right when it comes to IR2 stuff.

It is the ONLY software that keeps a gamma card updated without drama.

It should work on any IR2 system .

It has the ability to connect Humaxes and dreamboxes,Relooks etc all at the same time to the same gamma etc. (not NDS)

It doesn't need any other software.

You can use RS232/TCP converters like the popular BF430 units or a serial port to a season etc etc.

It has cache that actually works properly as well as showing the IP address and port in use of every client.

It has the facility for IR1 aurora emulation in software on the server as a card "emulation".

This means that a single copy of the details is updated so minimising the annoying pause when swapping channels to IR1.

You can run many copies of the application on the same machine, just use different newcamd ports.

Tested with newcamd,magicamd,cccam,evocam etc etc.

enjoy.....

Let's just say that ECM's and EMM's are passed by all devices perfectly.

But it's a work in progress, so expect the odd need for trimming atr delays etc.

Where does one find a copy with the 'Add Newcamd' option (in the CARD menu) enabled?

if you mean adding a newcamd client

clients/add user

if you meant adding a new newcamd connection as well as sids or a gw client then those settings are still in testing

I was hoping there was a way to make newcs a 'card reader' (i.e. - source, not client).

On the subject of clients though, how many can it handle?

would appear that, that option is not there yet, as for number of clients, I have only had it over a Lan with 4 thus far.
