| Premium Member | I was just going through some settings on my Grey Wolf Server and noticed for the card there is an area where you can place a tick to enable ECM & EMM cache. Now I do not have this ticked however I am curious as to what would be the pro's and con's of using this or not. Thanks for your feedback in advance. |

| Premium Member | It means if someone has already asked for it then it doesn't have to go to the card, just instantly dish it out from PC memory. Especially evident when two or more boxes on the same channel. Therefore faster responses means crappier internet connections are possible and less pixellation etc etc. It's just a good thing and this program does the cacheing better than anything else.

![]() | If you're getting pixelation issues over internet at certain times of day but not others then monitor your ping times - if the latency varying dramatically then that'll be your problem. Caching isn't so critical if you're only using a couple of receivers in a splitter-style arrangement. For larger networks a card would soon be swamped by requests without caching, so leave the caching options turned on. |
