GWM - v5.3 whitey stops getting updates - Page 2

I think you will find when the card fires up in GWM, the initial commands are sent/received by GWM. When the card fires up in the Humax it's the Humax sending/receiving the initial commands and different versions of firmware do different things. This is not confirmed though but a possible explanation.

so is there a solution to keep a 5.3 up with a GWM and all dream setup? All clients running cccam 2.09..

Im having a prob with my dreamax 480. it worked fine for 2 weeks with whitey now freezes for about half a sec and pixelates every few minutes or so. Put whitey back in humax 5410z and it runs perfect. I left it in humax for 24 hours to see if i might of missed uodate etc but no still doing it in my dreamax..my select card works fine as does my win imparja card.

Also if I try using NewCS 1.6 the card keeps rebooting every minute or so however it does update the card. How do I stop it from rebooting?

Yeah I noticed that with v1.5 also,.. kept resetting the reader - interested to know how to overcome that also. Wasn't a whitey in my case though, but same behaviour all the same.

Regarding getting OS5.3 tp update (today its fallen over again) would introducing a CAS3 Plus interface into the mix with a Irdeto Cam 2.26 with whitey installed keep it updated?

Putting the card in this CAM in a Topfield 3000 updates the card almost immediately - I wonder if this combo will do it for me without introducing a humax and bf430 into the mix?

Thoughts?

A cas3 will only give you a phoenix card reader with bling.
I was thinking more along these lines
SmartWi® Multi Room Solution. Products
Fit one in phoenix with GWM feeding clients and a second in purple cam to keep it updated,would only allow updates from purple cam.
Has anyone tried this or got any thoughts if it would work?????

I need help guys with Alpha S2 c It used to work on a server via LAN now nothing showing up only FTA channels, can someone give me an firmware update or help me out to put it back on a server again? cheers
