![]() | Hi Everyone, It just stops showing pics every few days. I restart GWM and still no pics. Bang card back in strong, pics! Then back in the GWM server, I get pics again. Never had issues before with the old 4.1 whitey. But I can say pics are perfect. I only have a few clients. Anyone had this and found a solution? Leroy |

| Member | Have you tried with CCcam? I'm not sure if GWM updates the card, but have heard that CCcam does. I've tried CCCam and get alot of freezing & pixelation on pics, so I'm not sure if it's CCCam the issue with the V5.3 or if it was the way my server was configured. ![]() |

Cccam works but i prefer GWM so I can then tinker with my dreambox and not upset the other guys that are connected. Leroy

I agree this has been a good option for me. But I used the free VMWare server and ran Ubuntu on my windows XP machine. I recommend that over building a linux box. Runs great and does not affect your current XP setup. Note: use bridge and not host for network settings

does the card work in the humax ??? as certain versions of firmware will not give pictures from what i have heard and that could be the issue as it should make no difference with the card version and GWM as long as the card works in the unit.

It works fine straight in the humax, but the moment I try to cs it, gwm says "no camkey" reset stb.. and still nothing happens.. Will keep fiddling with it. Cheers fandtm666... Mal...

And that's like what I was saying about not having GWM issues with the old 4.1 sellers....

| Premium Member | i take it you are using a season via com port. i would also assume that once GWM is started you are pushing and pulling the season in and out a few times to do the rest in gwm????? if so does it register any changes what so ever in gwm ??? double check the small things like the cable / season / comport / is it set to auto start etc i ask this as i looked at one on the weekend and it worked well pc + gwm + season + humax + white = pictures also pc + gwm + bf430 + humax + white = pictures |

You'll find cccam also won't keep the card updated as it did before. This line will stop any freezing etc B: /dev/tts/0 04

![]() | Things have been running fine since last week. VLC is definitely upsetting GWM so looks like my 'media server' it cannot quite be.... ![]() That aside it appears to be ok....for now. Leroy |

| Member | ....here's one for you fandtm666 (and/or the GWM experts). I am running GWM with a whitey in an ext phoenix. Clients are 2 x DM5620's (Gemini/CCCam) via my LAN, and 1 x Hummy (5410 un-zedded) via a Season. Everything running fine except the Dreams pixelate and freeze for a couple of seconds every half hour or so (no biggy really). The Hummy is the interesting one. Whitey gives pictures without any problems using the above setup. However, if I insert the Whitey directly into the Humax card slot, no pictures at all. I've read above of others having the reverse happen with a similar setup (that is, pictures in the Hummy but not in GWM), but I have not heard of this before. Like I said before, no real problem, as it works fine thru GWM, but just curious as to why it might be happening. BTW, the Hummy is running one of the latest ToH's, and I have tried other firmware (not the one suggested in another thread) to no avail. I shall try that other firmware when I have a spare few minutes, but for now I will keep my current setup. ....anyway, just thought I'd add to the mix.... Cheers All.....

| Premium Member | You need to have original firmware on humax for the card to work in the card slot. Maybe some earlier versions of Tux work also. I had a later version of tux and the card wouldnt display pics. Put the original firmware back on and all is good. Doesnt miss any updates |
