you also need a patched ttsystem file if you haven't already installed one.

You can't just copy the maps over and expect them to work. they have to be patched first.

OK I am learning, thanks Greg, but as I am a virgin please be gentle with me. Where can I get tt7 keygen, and a idiots guide to working through this.

I have tried all links here but none are active.

How to Make the new TomTom Maps work
****WARNING**** - Make sure you have got a full working back up copy - or use a new memory card !!!!!

1. Create a new folder on C drive - name it Keygen.
2. Copy files - Meta.txt & tt7_keygen.exe and your New Map folder, in this example I'll rename the map folder to "Australia" do the same makes it easyer

Now You should have this in the "C:\Keygen" Folder
"Meta.txt" (file)
"tt7_keygen.exe" (file)
"Australia" (folder) or what ever you called your map folder

(Note I have the tt8_keygen.exe because I have the Navcore v8)


3. Start your Command Prompt :- Start -> run -> cmd -> OK

4. Type in : Cd C:\KeyGen click ”Enter”
5. Type in : tt7_keygen.exe Australia ABCDE12345 (Replace this with YOUR DeviceID)

Important: Write your DeviceID without Space in the middle and use CAPS
Press ENTER
You should then see OK - if not then you have done something wrong.

then delete the map folder on the TomTom (make shore you have a back up first) Then copy your new Map folder to the tomtom and restart the tomtom and it should load the map

Aaaarrrgh, I give up. I have followed every step and dowloaded all the gear, but my ttg just won't recognise the maps.

Thanks to all who have helped so far, I won't actually give up, but will need to try and wrk out what is the issue stopping me.

Apart from the original, yes thats right

Did you know there is an Aust v8.15 Map.

I can't remember it was over a year ago I first done my one

did you do the patch the "ttsystem" file?

The first time you do the maps it is a pain in the ass

Aust V8.15 build 2059. This version is for PDAs and you must run TT v7.910 or above, otherwise the map will not be seen.

There is three maps
Australia_v815.2057 map
Australia_V815.2059 map
Australia_v815.2086 map

And DND i had to put a new ("ttsystem" file) in and it let me patch
them other it keepted failing on me

I'm not shore on the TT go300

Thanks DND I have the videos, they are very useful, and well done. I thought I had it at one stage but it wouldn't recognise the map as activated with my code, so , close but no cigar. I appreciate all your help though
