Thread: tomtom xl 340 s cannot use this map on this device

Patching home is not required, you need to ensure that your navcore was sucessfully patched or you will get this message.

Home is TomTom home and you only patch it to use the operate my TomTom functions and similar when you have a patched navcore
In other words you should only need to patch the navcore and get the maps.

it was not patched properly

I used

BBS tools and it activated the map on the device

I have a tomtom xxl 535t, and am having the same problem with the
map of HongKong
the info from the unit says:
tomtom xxl iqroute edition
device: xxxxxxxxxx
app: 9.051.5038552 os: 483784
(1016, 2/27/2010)
....

is this the same system as xl 340s?
do I need to patch the "navcore"?
where is the navcore? and where can I find
software to patch it?

btw, Albert's Easy Activator works fine on the HonKong map,
but the tomtom xxl 535t unit gives "you cannot use this map
on this device: Hong_Kong-130"

you need a patched ttsystem file matching your current navcore version. Download the patched file and copy it over the existing file on your tomtom
