Default TomTom 1XL not fully shutting down

I had to reload navcore 8.562 SE and map 860.3101 on my one xl SD card due to one of the files getting corrupt.

Problem is that when I turn the TomTom off it will not fully shutdown. Rather goes into standby mode. This means the battery is still being drained when in standby. I know this because when I turn the TomTom back on it does the 'coming out of standby' quick startup, rather than the slower full startup.

This was always fully shutting down, and only just started after I reloaded navcore and moaps. Any way to fix this?

Have you tried doing a hard reset using the tiny reset pin usually located under the device? Do this while it is turned on. Then when you restart the device hold the start button down for at least 5 seconds before letting go of it.

If that dosent fix it have a search for TomTom Flash tool and run that. That usually clears any bugs out of the system.

    Regards Mike
