    Default Fixed Speed cameras

I notice the Tom Tom will only warn you of the speed cam in one direction only. Yesterday I passed one and got no warning (it was looking right at me too...)but on the way back, which was then on my left, it sounded the warning. This was a normal road not a divided one.
Is that normal or can it be altered? TNX

I have seen this happen before, so these cams should only be used as a guide. They are not accurate.

Unfortunately they cannot be edited in the format they come from TomTom. They are a service (not a POI) so there is no way to edit them or even correct them temporarily on the device or computer.

    TomTom ONE v1, Navcore 9.170SE, 32Mb RAM, Australia 925.5412, Bootloader: 5.5244

Hi, I just found a NZ Speed cam update on another site. I see it only contains the two files ending Ov2 and ov2.ver. I also have a file ov2.dct.
Is it needed? Do I just leave the .dct file there and update the other two only?
    Thanks for your help

The DCT is the activation key needed to use the safety cameras on your TomTom. It is unique to each individual TomTom and is generated by 3rd party software. It will be created when activating maps on your TomTom. And only needs to be created once. After that you only need to copy new camera updates to your TomTom map folder.

If you find any missing or incorrect cameras you can always report them to TomTom, where they will evalute them and hopefully include the submission in the next official safety camera update.

Thanks for that Greg, it even updated the 'dct' file as soon as I copied the new ones across. Many thanks

    kaygill,
just thought I'd let you know... the Australian Safety Cameras now also cover New Zealand. I can confirm this as I have personally called TomTom Support and they have verified that the AU Safety Cameras include New Zealand.
Just copy the 2 extracted files (from the AU Speed Cam thread ) into the NZ map folder and activate them.
