Default How do I do it? TT One

I am visiting MissRadio in Wollongong and she has an old TT one she would like me to update but although I have done much with My Navman S90i and No name using Igo I have NFI re TT.
It is running from a 2G SD card and has all the hallmarks of a previous upgade, that is, it no longer shows her company's corporate splash screen and contains various files I think are not native to the original TT card. I have not been able to copy the card to my laptop as it treats fastactivate as a virus although I can ignore the treat but will not copy that file without an administrator permision I apparantly don't have.
I would be keen to learn to update TT and would appreciate links to pertinant threads and/or working backup link.

Windows 7 ? Right Click and "Run as Adminstrator ?

    Worth a try.

Thanks Sanity, I just got over that one by turning off virus protection apparantly even though I ignored the threat the antivirus still required a permision that wasn't forthcoming even when selecting "run as admin"

That has nothing to do with FastActivate or the TT - that is a problem of the installed Windows.
Using the old version from the device would not help anyway, always use the latest version of those tools!
Not sure what's currently running on it, but you'll find the latest 855 map and the latest Navcores in the forum.
Make a complete backup using Windows Explorer first.
Than report back what Navcore is running on it, check the status and information section in the menu of the device for that.

8.560 is the the Navcore you currently use, it is already patched as it is not the NC Home would install.
So all you need is the current full featured AU map and FastActivate, you can use the one provided in the forum, just make sure to download the latest version of FastActivate.
As an alternative : ,download, unpack to PC, run the installer and follow instructions.

For FA: you only need to klick on the button for the "update Meta" and "maps, voices..."

OK, I got it working, (followed instructions properly this time) now how do I check it has speed cams etc without taking it on the road please?

EDIT: I promise once I've learned a bit about it I'll stop asking damn fool questions.

First you need the speedcam in the map folder and activate with FastActivate - if you already have a .dct file for the cams inside the map folder you're fine.
    Go into menu
    Prepare/plan a route
tap on the route details and choose simluate route
don't gover 250% as you might loose some instructions and warnings

Of course you should select a route with known cams, starting from Darwin to Perth and hoping to get a speed cam to show up might take while LOL
