Australia_890_4278 map with IQ, ALG - released 24th May 2012

Here is the latest v890 full featured map of Australia, just released in late May 2012.
It includes features such as IQ routes and ALG.
Minimum requirements: Navcore 8.2xx or higher.

Here the same map for all those that are not sure how to do it.
Download the archive and unpack to your PC.
Start the installer and follow the instructions.
When finnished FA will start, click on "update meta" and the button for the maps, if your Navcore is not patched already you do that now too.

These maps will not work for me TomTom one, Navcore 8.562SE,
Your 885.4021map worked perfect,
I am useing Fast activate 1.8.8.5.
Any Ideas
Is this map maybe not compatible with this Navcore

Not working for me either. Using Tom Tom XL and 9.43 navcore. Fast activate does not see the map.

Map works just fine here on NC 9.430
Make sure to use the latest FA and to update the meta!

Nah both aren't working I have tried fresh install of everything and all.
The meta has been updated but just comes up no maps found i have upgraded maps with no problem from 875 to 880 to 885 now this one is a no go.
Just says no maps found fast activate comes up and does it's thing but no go when trying it on TomTom.
Could this be the map like the 885.4031 and 885.4030 that do not work on anything except 9.1 and 9.4 navcores ?
And i have tried both the FA that come with your package downunder aswell s my own 1.8.8.5 that i have used for my other maps

And i have tried both lemonfish's one and downunder one excact same thing.

That this would be a Carminat or similar map.
But since TT offers exactly the same version number as the official map for 730 and AU....
Simply check in Home what map version you can buy for your Device, check the info and if it is a different version number you might have to wait.

According to TT.... the latest map available to purchase/download for the GO730 is 890.4278

Did not work for me on XXL or Go using fast activate 1.8.8.5 and then I tried Fast Activate 1.8.8.4 and both worked

Ok i got it working on my tomtom one useing 9.430 Navcore and fast activate 1.8.8.5 but 9.430 navcore is ugly compared to 8.562SE
But it is working all the same

I also read on the tomtom webiste that it was normal for TThome to say that
"your map has not been updated for more than 20 weeks 2 free map share map corrections waiting"
after new map updates is this true is everyone else getting this aswell ?

Still no v890.4278 in the compatibility charts. So unsure what gps/navcore is supported with this version. Since people have reported not working with Navcore 8.562SE which is the one I am using. Yet navcore v8.2xx was said to be minimum needed to run this.

As tomtom do not list specific version numbers for each different map. Just Australia v8.90. which can cover any of the different available map version for each specific GPS unit.

TT updated many devices to NC9, so one could assume that several maps are only available to NC9 devices.
However TT newer made more than 3 maps for "normal" countires : without any features, with ALG,IQ and Co, Carminat.
The only other map types created are the ones for maps tht can use the HNR feature.
Our new map contains a few files that are not included in the olde map, like "overview" files and a file for housenumber, but they look different to thoses on other maps.
Best option would be to wait a few days to see what other map types are popping up or to wait for the chart.
Due to the differences to previous maps I would say this map need a higher NC than 8.2xx. It must be V9 based, that would mean the 8.562 and the truck NC should also support it, anything before 8.5 definitively not.

At this stage and judging by the version numbers available I would tend to say it is a Carminat (or in car system) map.

Edit:
Just checked and 890.4261 is the map we want.
890.4237 would be for older NC's (no features)
And the 890.4278 is for NC9 or in car systems
All judged by by comapring the filesizes of previous maps.

890.4278 map works fine on my one XL IQ routes edition using Navcore 9.43 and activated with FA v1.8.7.4

I am getting this as well after updating to this map, mine says 3 corrections waiting.

Why are you wondering about map share?
Do you really think customers have nothing better to do than to buy the new map and upload corrections? LOL
Give it time, last time it took almost a month until map share was working...

How the hell are you supposed to download from that link without getting an ilivid account? All I can get is links to ilivid and usenet accounts which I don't want or need.Could someone please up the file to a normal download site?
