It seems the tomtom with a sd card reader will not see anything over 2gb.
Will a "micro" sd card 2gb work? as the normal sized ones seem to be hard to come by now.

You need NC 8.4xx or higher and Bootloader 5.5012 or higher for support of SDHC

Ok thanks for that. I havn't actually tried it in the TomTom, just my external card reader attached to the computer and after further googling I think it is the card reader that won't see it, so maybe the tomtom will, yet to try.
Have downloaded the latest 890 map for NZ but no meta txt available as yet.
