    Default Error updating GPS

I get an error when trying to update the GPS just now. Is anybody else having the same problem? It only does half an update where it can download the map share files but fails or hangs on downloading the quickgpsfix update.

    Working fine for me.

Try deleting your quickgpsfix file, then when you update via TT Home again, it will download a new file.

    The procedure:

Run TT Home, select Manage my GO, Select the tab Remove items from computer, tick the box against QuickGPSfix Data, then click on the Remove items from computer button on the lower right corner of the screen.

You will get a confirmation popup.... select OK.

Then run Update my GO... and it should update quickgpsfix.

This is assuming you have a GO model.

Or use one the updaters I put into the filebox.
Two archives for the two different chipsets.
To check what file you need:
Press reset or on devices without reset hold the button pressed down.
Turn on and when the drums come press and hold the button.
A status screen will open, line 9 "GPS type" show what chip is used.
For the SIRF chipset download Sirf3QuickFix.rar,
for the Global Locate chipset download Global_LocateQuickFix.rar
Unpack into the folder "ephem" on your device, start the updater from within Windows,
it will update your quick fix files without the need to use TT Home and it will fix faulty files as well because they are replaced.

Once inside the EPHEM folder you use the updater anytime you like, be aware that on devices with both internal and SD memory you should update the files on both.
