Would help to know the problem details and error messages
Use the latest FastActivate (without the update button) and all should be fine.

    How did you fix it?

It helps others to know a problem and how it was fixed.

    Sorry

all i wanted was a good navcore and maps... So i just download the navcore of tomtom home it was the latest version i think and i put the maps in 895.4438 but still couldn't get it to work..

I the FastActivate and used it for the maps and it still didn't work so i patched the TT system which i didn't think i had to coz the navcore came of tomtom home but i guess i was wrong... After patching that it all worked

I haven't done this sort of stuff for a year so the latest stuff i forgot about... Next thing i want to work on is my Go730 which is dead and looking at giving it new life...

Yep... you need to patch everything.

I have a GO730 and all works fine on it, so you should be right.

Probably asking the obvious, but you are powering it via the USB dock or car adaptor?

Internal batteries are notorious for dying.
