I just wanted to confirm it was working. I didn't think it was going to work as I was sure I tried the same process last night. Tried today and it has been going fine for the last few hours.

Well how come it ain't working for people that have been here a long time? and no doubt know a lot more about the hobby than most

Not sure pictureman. All I know is that it worked for me. For how long is anyones guess but it's working atm. Be interesting to see if it's still going tomorrow.

Silentas if it follows the same as lastnight it will run out tomorrow between 730 and 930 then you just do it again and all good.
I think what most people are looking for is the line from the log but they are lucky t oget this far from me as all its been is a hassle all day and pile after pile of crap and even when some one does confirm it they don't want to believe it,,,BECAUSE THEY DIDNT COME UP WITH IT.

I have spent many hours here reading thankyou, trying to understand all the code speak which clearly is info only people in the know understand.

The info Onefella provided has given more useful info in a single post than all the hours I have wasted reading stuff that didn’t make any sense.

It seems to me to be very much a club around here and your either in or your out and the number of genuine posters that wish to help are very scarce.

Pleanty of I know you dont ner ner types.

Its no wonder there are many people watching these posts that never post, they are not game to.

you should be able to get it fired on 2.09 and then set it back to 2.0 with newcs it should by all right s do the same thing as the cam fix...

I pulled the cam out today to check the part no etc. and had to repeat the process to get it back. I know other people who have tried with other cams (different part no's to mine, and a matrix cam) without success. Glad I bought this freecam a while back haven't used it until now.

if I want to stay here I wont make suggestions like this

Used a similar method to the one you stated. Placed the card into a nokia 9500 cam 2.3b 1.13f. Old by todays standards I know. As soon as pics appeared(only showed for a few seconds every now and then) pulled card. Then placed card into strong 4658x running 127p firmware and presto!!! Pics. Been working for a number of hours. Was in the process of trying different firmwares on the strong so it may work with others but at the moment if it aint broken I wont touch it. this says to me from what is in the steam that they are just trying to render the cards useless by bombing us with a whole heap of bogus commands over a few days so all of those who leave their card out of boxes wont update.

Aren't any of you people that have got it working concerned with how hot the card is now running? Even with the 3v mod the cards will be running hot, there is just too many 1's and none's running over it. Or am I off the track?

Sorry , but what do you seriously expect from people here ?

Anyone with even the most limited amount of knowledge can post a question in the Satellite Newbie forum and generally have an answer within half a day. Myself and many other members can and do reply to people that are prepared to have a go. If you wanted to know about all these " code speak " things , why have you left it until this moment to enquire ? If you had asked them in the newbie forum a month ago they would have been answered.

But when you jump straight in to one of the busiest threads in the mainstream satellite forums with no knowledge whatsoever because your pirate card wont work its not likely people are going to bend over backwards to accomodate you because you have made no effort previously. There is no exclusive club......if you dont reguarly and actively participate in the forum you are more than likely one of the majority that are here because they want a free answer to the question of why they cant get free foxtel anymore. People that dont actively participate in the forum and then turn up in situations like this are known as " gimmees ". Regular contributers understandably quickly get sick of freeloaders turning up for a free feed.

Nothing personal , just the facts.

Yeah mate I'm worried about the card getting too hot. I've done the 3v mod to my strong 4658x and now it is running in the cam it will be running hotter. but I have pics so that is my only concern for now.

I had a look at an Openbox today that was previously running the card cool. Now its extremly hot , almost to the point that you would be concerned about melting.
