Anyone with even the most limited amount of knowledge can post a question in the Satellite Newbie forum and generally have an answer within half a day. Myself and many other members can and do reply to people that are prepared to have a go. If you wanted to know about all these " code speak " things , why have you left it until this moment to enquire ? If you had asked them in the newbie forum a month ago they would have been answered.

But when you jump straight in to one of the busiest threads in the mainstream satellite forums with no knowledge whatsoever because your pirate card wont work its not likely people are going to bend over backwards to accomodate you because you have made no effort previously. There is no exclusive club......if you dont reguarly and actively participate in the forum you are more than likely one of the majority that are here because they want a free answer to the question of why they cant get free foxtel anymore. People that dont actively participate in the forum and then turn up in situations like this are known as " gimmees ". Regular contributers understandably quickly get sick of freeloaders turning up for a free feed.

Nothing personal , just the facts.

How do you kickstart with one firware for 1/2sec then load another firmware Saint? Can you explain a bit more clearly?

So this will not update and we will have to kickstart again with supernet or similar tommorow is that right and hope they don't die off? This is just a temporary fix i assume. That firmware is old as.

This is definately the firmware for the 4658 isn't it? It doesn't mention it at all in the file name.

ok guys this wat happen with me i follow the procedure as ILIKETHAT put the card in purple cam wait till pic cum pull it very quick then put it in the blue cam then wen i put in open box work only for 3sec then stop .did i miss something

i,m no expert and nor do i care if you believe me or not but those that know me know me
but just on observation the following things tend to stick out
the first being that gamma cards dont signature check unlike a legit card (thats why we are having problems now with fake emks )which makes me think that the gamma team either dont know the whole algo or have until now just been sloppy in which case a new bin file will fix the problem
but they didnt do this in thailand
this type of thing has been done before with UBC
as most of the receivers over there are made by the chinese the fix was approached in 2 ways
one was with blockers and the other was in software mods to the receiver (but the first i heard of this was today )
if the gamma team knew how to decrypt the signature algo they could then replicate it ,as they havent it shows there are still gaps in the gamma code or maybe its time to bring out the new upsilon card (i just made that up by the way but its a greek letter so it sounds good ) which has new bin files and more money to be made

or their bullet proof armour has taken so many hits that weak spots are beginning to appear

the final part that we are hearing about is are cards still able to work
the answer is most definately yes
how this is being done i,m not going into details and dont pm me as i wont answer but at the moment the days of being able to just put a card in a receiver and watching tv is over for now
i have no idea about all these cams but have a huge stack of different ones here and once i get my hands on a gamma card i,ll have a bit of a look at it

for all of you with a gamma card keep it i think there will be a fix in the not too distant future but how long it is until something changes again austar only knows
