Good advice Saintaholic,
Any suggestion on purple CAM in unit other than Strong box (Homecast). I just got myself a new one as my last one failed at the same time this stuff was all happening this week. May be coincidence as no else complaining of failed purple CAM. By the way anyone got ideas on bringing it back to life. It is recognised in my PC but not sat decoder? Is freecamming an option on dead CAM.

I dont have a Dreambox etc so I dont log. From what I hear there is a lot of muck being sent to the cards.

I also know that in the Strong 4658x 1.20 version, it picks up pics for 10secs and then crashes. The firmware is OK and works. It's the Data from the supplier that is crashing the cards. They are allowed to do this. Their boxes have different firmware to what we run on our boxes. It's their system and I suppose they can do what they want. I dont see Strong or any other supplier upgrading firmware to allow us (and only us) to view a whitey. So maybe the solution (long term) is not to AU.

Maybe the Goldie/Silver can be kicked into gear with a few channels. We always believed 'You must allow Gamma to get Updates' . Well it appears a Kickstart is all that is needed.
Read many of people ages ago did insert keys and had pics for 10secs.
Also read in Europe where they tell people to TURN OFF AU in settings of their Cams to view 'Showtime & Nova'. They have Irdeto2 in their Cams with AU Off.

how do i do the firmware trick on a strong 4653x? when 127p wont work on 4653x,s as NuckleHead already stated.

is there another earlier firmware that could be used on 4653x,s?

a quick google and austech search hasn't lead me to water

where would one come across this earlier firmware for the 4654x that works with the 4653x?

Whitey going strong (pun intended) in 4658x embedded cam with the workaround as described by ilikethat and saintaholic,

And that explains why freecams are working in some boxes, they dont autoupdate. They just need the card to be kick started

just on a side-note was talking to my mate on wednesday who had contacted his seller and the seller reckons that there will be a fix for this late next week apparently, I guess only time will tell...

I believe once the card has been 'Kickstarted' by any means, then putting it in your 127p strong, Yes I think it will work. TRY
