hi guys,
got myself a strong 4653X, loaded original strong fireware update 120 no success, updated it to SRT4620X_4651X_4654X also no success, bad signal error was given, went back to 120 and now gettting 5 second pics.
can anybody help??

Ah hang on. I bet the firmware is changing your 11300 or 10600 LNB setting. Check this

I've had this problem a lot when changing from one version firmware to another. Bet ya thats it. Dish Setting. Whatever LNB you had first. You should be getting 'GREEN' signal strength

you will have to configure your LNB
Maybe other people that have not had success yet with any box are having a similar problem and not picking up on it.

after pulling out the frozen picture or just normally??
1. Card in slot with 120 loaded
2. wait for pic then pull card BEFORE it freezes
3. load 127p
4. adjust LNB to 11300
5. make sure selected channel is irdeto
6. put card in slot

Saint when u get pics for 5 sec done everything right i got 2 x 4658x 1 with 120 1 with 127p when u pull card how long does it take other decoder with 127p take to get pics right away or do u have to wait
i have a 4653 x and it reads the usb but shows that there is no file
I got it from memory straight away in the 127p. Maybe a few seconds. Definately not minutes and I didn't have to pull. Mind you I had a pull when I got it

My guess is you copied a ZIP file and the SRT is looking for a .stb
Unzip first

thank for reply it is unzipped to a srt file
Also , just make sure your getting a Signal in the 127p and it's on a Irdeto channel. From memory, I might've had to change the LNB to my setting. I've had to do it so many times I forget which firmware changes it.

Seriously, thanks for all the fine work in this thread and i hope you long suffering bastards get another flag before hell freezes over.
Well if your sure it's a .stb file on your flash and the 4653x wont see the file.......................I dont know. You'll have to fix that glitch first. Try other files. EG Mp3's. The Box will play mp3's so see if they appear.
