Thread: 8 gig wd xbox hard disk locked

Hi all


i was given a wd xbox drive that the owner would like his music collection back the problem is that the xbox has been trashed all i have is the hdd. I tried installing it in one of my xbox's that have been chipped but i get errors and no boot even to a slayers disk is there any way to retrieve the the info or unlock it.
i have unlocked version of the same model so is the locking info on the pcb or on the disk plates.

Its in the eeprom on the motherboard but sometimes they can be unlocked using a generic password, was the xbox stock or softmodded ? I think AID disk has an unlock component on it that you could try .
