Any way to avoid a new liteon drive?

I have to pick a new premium console tomorrow and would like to know if there is anyway to make sure its not one of the new un-modifiable liteon drives.

I have checked out Xbox 360 DVD Drive Database but there is only 1 instance of a liteon drive which knowing my luck I would be the 2nd.

if you are going to buy the console. just get the place to open it up, powerup the console so you can check out the drive yourself. tell them you want a console that doesnt have the liteon drive.

or buy from bigw, kmart etc and return if it has the drive you dont like, you can get a refund then.
