Abe Vigoda played with a dead pan face and bass voice, the character of Detective Fish in 'Barney Miller', a very funny tongue in cheek Police Sit com.

I genuinely thought I had read of Abe Vigoda's passing quite some time ago but obviously it was one of the reports that caused Mark Twain to famously state that 'the reports of his death were exaggerated'.
