Default Help Centrex Plasma No Pic

Hi guys I am getting a Centrex Plasma model CTPL42S5
The customer says it has sound but no picture.
Just wondering if there is any common faults with these units or is it just going to be a Y sus board kit swap over again

    cheers for your help

Hi mate. What brand panel is it??
Check the two rails to Y and Z from smps.
Does it give a flash on screen at switchon??
Have a look for surface mount fuses on Y and Z.
Might be an indication of their failure.

Hi it's a Samsung panel there was no flash at switch on
there were a couple of lines down the bottom of screen
(pencil lines) there were a few sparkles a a minute later on screen
very very few sparkles about the size of my hand about 60 pixels LOL
checked all the fuses and fusible resistors and they seem fine just about to take some readings of the rails and then pull the Y board out and check to see if there are some surface mount fuses underneath the board

Let ya know tomorrow Too dark outside now and beer is nice.
Ive got a 50 inch samsung that had a crook smps , so we ordered a new one , and its fixed but a month later the new smps went high rail and damaged other boards (exploded smd caps etc) a sad tale.
And its 800 bucks for the damaged digi board.
Got warranty on the supply .Bad luck about the rest.

We got two but they appear to be earlier.
One is YD04 and the other is YD05
Both have their Y and Z boards intact.

Wish it was the same fandtm We,d have it fixed by now .
Can you give me some numbers off the Y and Z as I cant see em good enough in that picture to tell if what ive got are the same .
    Sharpen up your photography lol.
I imagine what we have to be about 4 year old.
Its a brand new panel and I dont mind splitting it up as we will prolly never use it.
