    Default 2016 Formula 1 Season

Well, it's getting near the start for another year.
Its so good that Sky Sports have a dedicated F1 channel (if only Moto GP had one)
It wouldn't be too hard for Foxtel to add this channel to their line up, considering they have copied everything else.
Been plenty of programming on showing the new cars and team drivers.

Shaping up a year where a few young drivers might shake things up a bit.
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

Only if they are drive mercs

For now the only excitement for me will be finding a Kodi stream that works when an actual race is on.

I am very disappointed with the new qualifying 90 sec wipeout rule. Makes especially Q3 boring. Before they could all fight it out to the end and a possible surprise, now you just have Hamilton and Rossberg left and the others just sit in the pit waiting for the ticking clock as it is pointless to make any effort now.
Wipe out works perhaps in Q1 and Q2 but leave 10 cars for a proper fight out in Q3.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you, I liked it at first, however it did make Q3 a non event.
It did get the cars on the track quick for Q1 & 2, some teams not quick enough for the turn around before the cut off started, Kvyat a notable example.

From what I heard on commentary, some of the teams opted not to use up an extra set of softs for 2 runs in Q3 & conserve them for the race.
So were happy to sit on the time they achieved in 1 run.
Which was happening last year as well, with teams sitting out Q3 or waiting till the last minutes to put in 1 run, so not many cars at beginning of Q3.

    The race should be good.

    Qualifying results Australian GP.

Come on, lets get down to the serious issues of Fomula 1 for 2016
And that is Ricciardo's 1970 porn style mustache. My missus loves it!
And then there is Hamilton's facial hair and choice of eye wear

    +1 Totally.

I think you are all being kind. It was bullsh*t. People pay to see cars dueling on the track, not sitting in the pits.

This is a multi billion industry that's primary goal is to entertain. The initial idea was fine, but a glaring weakness was exposed. Hopefully they will have a rethink and fix it......quickly.

Yes the advertising is pathetic, at least on Foxtel it's split screen & the rest of the season no adds at all.

Alonso Wow!!!! Could not believe my eyes when he climbed out of that wreck. Faaaaark!! Cool as a cucumber.lol

Yup nasty crash by Alonso. Amazing to see him climb out. Good race though and I hope it's a bit more competitive this year. Ferrari are looking good. Pity they chose the incorrect tyre
