i am new added name "Hotbird " .U4 find with blind scan HotBird 13E . 852 TV channels .
HotBird is 1450 TV ku band TV channel .

Hotbird or others scan can read flash ROM .for this :
home/ setup /config / tuner / /satelite edit / add / define a new satellite here.
do now blind scan. You not will find more than 900 TV channells for the Hotbird satellite .




and all version sometimes two, sometimes one scan result.:
fav / Service Grop / Sattelite / for HotBird 13E : "No service"

or u4 find scan result HellesSat 39E , 280 TV channels .
but / fav / Service Grop / Sattelite / u4 show for HellasSat 120 TV channels

the reason it is not getting all the channels is because the dbs-2 tuner will not do the
very high or very low SR.

i have come across this just recently when looking for something in the 45000 range
and only 1 of my 5 dbs -2 setups will scan that range.

Kruguerfreddy, i just don't think that is correct, as in the last fortnite i have purchased a Q4, and there were a lot of American links to the same site in various forums (as well as Amazon), my personal feeling is it is a nitch product and people are purchasing them to full fill that requirement. I think Oceanboy has articulated that clearly

Some here have read what you have to say, then proven incorrect by simply texting a Rep of Vivant.

As for your missing channel issues, have you tried older firmwares version to see if the same issues is present
(although with older firmwares, you don't get the individual sat grouping)

And need i remind again, the firmware you are using is BETA!!!!
So by definition, it is meant to have problems and you are meant to report them, as you have, so that Vivant can address them

my other recivers vu+ , K1 plus , K1 , vigica c60s-c100s-c90s , openbox,freesat v8 etc ... no problem with hotbird.
my friends 60cm antenna hotbird no problem .
5000 ch capacity not only .. only i am blind scan hotbird , new beta firmware May 31.. lost much channel . Channel lost only with May firmware .
u4 quad all firmwares db and signal low .

me most angry, moving and sorting problems for 8 satellites .
now U4 waiting to go to waste in the basement .

ANDROID BOX IS GOOD FOR IPTV+KODI AND NOT FOR SATELLITES!!
I have not Problem with HOTBIRD or other Satellites! and blind scan work very fine! I have 125cm Dish!
check your LNB,lnb skew,Dish,Dish Elevation° !and why you are using an android box as the main box? at 4000-5000 ch capacity spins the box
Android and Satellite's last dirt!so a box to use as a hobby for iptv or Kodi
either you live with these problems, or uses a different box! except you has anyone problems with the box!

So analyse the actual problem, if the scan is missing services. Look at what it is missing? is NIT search also enabled? is it low sr channels? is the receiver swithing the LNBF band correctly? the usual issue with blindscan which date right back to the 1st blindscanners is the mhz step, earlier ones would scan in hops of 8 mhz or 4mhz meaning closely spaced scpc service would often get missed.

The second part of the process was the sorting and addition of the found services.

When you updated your firmware did you do complete resetto factory defaults?
