What problems are already evident.
In one year, 25 firmware U4 Quad Hybird . one year, two firmware every month.
All 25 firmware. If this is normal. I do not have anything I will tell you.

My problem like other people. channel editing,sorting , moving, favorite problem etc .

there is no solution to all these problems with the 25 firmware in one year, why you are angry.

Dear customers.

We are apologize that we couldn't release new SW over long term.
We had a project except this SW over few months. so our team couldn't support this forum well.
We hope that we can support better than before and also come with new product.

Here I leave U4 Quad latest SW.
This is full version with latest SDK.


We only released full version SW to avoid DB conflict.

After checking your SW version, you can upgrade SW on 2 ways.

1.check Baseband version (058 or 063)
last strings are version number.
if you have 063, you must download latest SW from above link and upgrade SW by USB.
if you have 058, then you can upgrade latest SW by Network upgrade function.

Beta Firmware release 2015.03.28

Dear customers.
As we announced with last posting, we will plan to release 2 version of firmwares.

About Beta firmware, when you use beta version of firmware, you should test with your risk.
Basically, we tested and release a firmware but we can't test all end user's requirement.
Of course, you can recover U4 Quad box via 4 ways even if you fail to burn SW. but it will take your efforts.
If you are not expert of STB, we recommend to use official released firmware from network download feature on U4 Box.

my advice :
retract all receives or Pay Indemnity and You can sell them only TV BOX .
If you do not want to experience problems : not sell "TV box + DVB-s2/t2"

yes, i've managed to do an online update only via eOn Menu -> Config -> System Update. I had the choice between Normal and Full release.

if, i try the app "Box Settings" in All Apps, it said that i had the latest release. Same in the Android setting page, Tablet update.

The Apps were still there. As i mainly use Kodi, i've noticed that the settings were gone :-(

Can anyone using the latest Sept 2016 firmware make a point form list of things they are unhappy with.
Each new firmware has been written to address stability mostly.
As i have said, the last 2 firmwares, prior to Sept 2016 have been rock solid for me
(Tested on 2 Machines in 2 different locations receiving different DVB-T and DVB-S2 signals)

I have not tried the latest release, as i purely have no need to.
I have nothing to fix, apart from what i will mention below.

1. Being able to IMPORT a .M3U list or file in a normal common configuration for IPTV.
2. Being able to Update Firmware without losing settings (this may be impossible, as i don't know a E2 box you can achieve this)

Has anyone been able to sort channels or change channel numbers? TVHeadEnd allows for tuning, deleting and renaming, but channel number changes and sorting doesn't affect the actual channel list on the box. The beta U4 Channel List Editor also appears to let you sort channels but again doesn't affect the list on-screen at all. Any tips?

Cheers, will try that shortly, however I have just woken up and found overnight the box has completely factory resetted on its own, even removed most apps (left YouTube, Play, Miracast and settings apps but now I have less than what is provided with it), lost all channel lists and even tuners. Lost wifi password also. Wtf??
