The price seems a little sharp although it may require a trip to site as it wasn't initially wired to the panel to support this. Also, they are trying to claw their way back from a cheaper initial quote.

You also need to remember that products like this often require subsequent tech support e.g. every time the user changes mobile phone etc. or hire/fire staff. This may also explain the charging.

Atlas isn't intended as an end user tool so you're unlikely to find anyone who'd give you that. As Dan says if they haven't physically configured the PM45 & panel to support the feature again, that's not unreasonable to charge. I am however a little surprised at the charge per additional user. That's almost like charging to make a change to your key holder list.

As for the codes you absolutely should have the master code. The installer code no, even though some would argue otherwise.

ok thanks for the onfo drift.

I'll see if I can squeeze the master code out of them!

as for the ethernet port on the pm45 is there anything there for the end user/tinkerer?

    Nothing for the end user.

So far I haven't been charging any extra for pocket secure users. The only cost is the time to add them into Atlas which takes a couple of minutes (provided you have already hooked up the Permaconn output to a key switch input on the panel).

my issue is they wont give me the details to access permaconn's Atlas and to setup pocket secure they are asking $170.50 + $44 per extra user - is this the norm?

plus I dont have a master code or the installers code?
Atlas is not an End User Tool. Pocket Secure is and It does sound like they didn't wire the Panel & Permaconn up for Keyswitch Arming in which case I would be telling them it should have been done on he original install. it takes all of 2-3mins. As for the $44 charge per user that is very steep. I am not aware of anywhere that charges clients to setup pocket secure accounts.
