Hello,
I am currently in the process of looking for an alarm system for my new home in Melbourne. I have asked around and I've been quoted both the Bosch and Paradox systems. Ive done some googling, but can't seem to find the difference between the two brands.
Basically I wont be moving into our home for a few months due to work commitments overseas. Based on this we are looking at only putting power into our home to save on utilities, so no internet, land line, etc. Since we dont want to burden family, we are also looking at getting the alarm monitored and when we back hoping to just get the alarm send SMS alerts to us. Alarm integrated to our garage door is also important so we can drive the car straight in.
I have gotten a few quotes but am not sure which system would be best to meet our needs. I really like the sounds of the Paradox system but i am not sure it meets what i need it to do and it is a lot more expensive than the Bosch system.

In my veiw paradox is more flexible and reliable.
You can reduce the price for example with an LCD keypad.(K641)
I prefer the Paradox over the Bosch, and do yourself a favour and go for the pet sensitives, even if you don't own any pets, as they're far less likely to false alarm due to insects etc.
