aljazerra on optus c1

hi everyone, just wondering is aljazerra on optus c1 still on 12367v mysm 27800 ,fec 3/4 ,vipd 1121 apid 1122 ,can anyone tell me if there still there bcz im not geting a signal here ,thanks hamguy2 nsw

A little search would reveal it's still there as per this thread the other day.

Yeah still there, just not all receivers pick it up. Tried inputting all the pids manually and some boxes just won't lock onto it. My fortecstar did but my Strong 4653x wouldn't.

hi there, i tried all that what have they done is it a differnt format like the digicipher2 stuff on measat3, no signal nothing, thanks hamguy2 nsw

Try using NDF Edit. That's how I did it on my 4658x. Use version 155.

hi whats ndf edit never heard of it ,i was just looking at a few digicipher2 decoders not a bad price either for the measat3 cband service ,thanks hamguy2 nsw

NDF edit is a channel editor for Strong receivers.

I have it running on a Octagon 518, Strong 4658x and Openbox 810x

Still running as normal and seemingly okay to me with my SRT 4652 receiver. Adjusting the VIPD and APID after firstly scanned the Optus C1 can be tricky, don't it ?

LeroyPatrol I have a 4658x and using NDF Editor but i cannot get a picture on Al Jaazeera English. What did you put under Service ID And PMT PID. And did you convert the pids for Audio(1122) and Video (1121), PCR (1121) to hex decimal.

Yes, convert them to hex so you'll have 0x0461 for PCR and Vid and 0x0462 for Audio. Service ID is 0x7f59 and PMT is blank.

hamguy2, the octagon 918 is probably the easiest box of the lot to add aljazeeera to....

if you can't manage that, i don't think you'll appreciate the extra features of this box.....

Frequency = 12367
Polarisation = v
Symbol = 27800
Vpid = 1121
Apid = 1122
Pcr = 1121

Now is there a menu where you can ADD a channel?
Just try to add it, with out scanning it.
I am not sure about your box, as i don't have one... but just use the remote and have a look at your options.

Use the setting Oceanboy has posted above. I dont own an Octogon , so I cant tell you exactly how to do it. I recently added it to my Dreambox and went in to my installation menu. Thats probably where you should be looking , there will be a place to manually enter PIDS. If you can find that , its just a matter of adding the 3 pid numbers above.

hi sorry it wont work ive tried it 15 times today, it says no signal the humax is easy ,to correct it comes up user id for this channel so i just rename the channel to aljazeera ,thx hamguy2 nsw

If it wont work , you are doing something wrong. There is definately signal on
12367 , Vertical , 27800.

Do you have 2 boxes plugged in by any chance and they can only run off the same polarity at the same time ? If so , switch the other box to a vertical channel such as a Foxtel box office channel and then try it on the other box again.
