    How to shoot these streams into something Roku can digest? Or is an alternate box/PC based browser required?

    Roku is already m3u8 stream compatible and you can make your own channels at

    Just select Live stream, HLS and paste m3u8 url in settings up to 10 streams per free channel.

    Couldn't see which section in the Instant TV channel development webpage the "settings" area is so can add the "LIve Stream", "HLS" and "m3u8". Can you please advise?

    Under your channel go to content The url which by default is mp4 you delete that and paste in your m3u8 url
    select stream type pull down menu to live
    and stream format pull down menu to hls

    Hello Pheggie,

    I've seen your other Roku channels an impressed with what you've done. I've had a look at instanttvchannel.com/ briefly the other night - look complicated but I should be able to figure it out. The bit I'm unsure about is what to do at the end . Do you save the channel, publish it, or what? Thats one of the bits I couldn't figure it out. Also, does the channel need to be listed on an private channel site so that you can download it?

    Any help appreciated.

    You download the .pkg file to local drive and upload it to your roku developer account, on the right hand side they have instructions how to publish like open roku developer account
    and the roku firmware setting 6.1.1b i think spend some time reading the instructions. On the roku developer site you can set a vanity
    code with the install code of your choice to add your channel you'll need to create some images for your channel and save them with specific
    pixel sizes in your roku developer account and make it a private channel not public.

    Once done one channel the next one seems a lot easier with a bit of practice. You don't have to list it on a private channel site you can add it from your roku account using your vanity code.
