    Default Another Fridge Problem

Its a standard Kelvinator fridge/freezer. The freezer works perfectly but the fridge has stopped getting cold. I'm guessing its a thermostat problem. Would I be right , how much do they cost (roughly) and how hard to replace. TIA

I assume this is a top mount freezer model with automatic defrost. If so, there is a fan that blows cold air from the freezer evaporator down into the refrigerator compartment. The fan may have failed or the return air duct is blocked.
This can occur if the drain pipe/pan becomes iced up due to a blockage. You need to remove the freezer evaporator cover to check.
You could have a defrost element failure and the first symptom is poor ref compartment cooling followed by gradual poor freezer cooling due to icing. Not likely to be any problem with the thermostat.
Maybe some photos or a model number may help.

I checked and couldn't hear a fan working. All set to probe further on Saturday but Friday arvo fridge was cold and all seemed good. Looks like you have to get to the fan from inside the fridge. Is an intermittent fan likely ?

Inside the freezer you'll find a defrost sensor, these fail, cheap part around $30, located behind the panel inside the freezer
