    Default Samsung LA40R81BD screen

Hiya all, my mancave TV has annoying screen issue's. Mainly horizontal broken lines & some very ones which get worse after being on for a short time. See pic. I've checked all caps but nothing abnormal. I've tried set top box with the same screen problem. Assistant in fix much appreciated. Cheer's Should add that it does have a picture & I pulled the coaxl plug for clarity

If I need another board, being it a buffer, main or power supply I'm quite to ok to change them as I've been an electronics hobbyist for years & I can even solder. I've also checked previous listings to no avail.

If you bring up the menu, is it clear or messed up like the previous pictures ?

That model did have an issue with an eeprom IC corrupting due to faulty caps in the power supply. This fault caused power issues and from memory either a blank screen or screen colour problems. Might be worth replacing the eeprom and see what happens.

If that doesn't fix it then either the main board or t-con board is faulty.

Link the thread about the eeprom (IC1803)

2 Years later but how did you go with this tv

I have this issue, replaced the t-con and this never corrected the issue.
    I am suspecting IC1803
